Get Involved in Our Service Events
The Big Event
Every year we participate in Virginia Tech's largest service event! Typically we split into different teams to help the people of Blacksburg with house projects. |
Shack-a-thon
Late in the spring, Circle K and other student organizations participate in this fundraising event for Habitat for Humanity. Members live in our homemade shack for a whole week to encourage others to donate. |
Relay for Life
VTCKI participates in the largest collegiate Relay for Life Rally each year. Here we raise money for the American Cancer Society by selling grilled cheese sandwiches and 'toothpick' holders. |
Drunk Bake Sales
Ever wanted to sell grilled cheese and doughnuts to drunk people on main street? Here is your chance! We raise money for different causes about twice a month by setting up a booth in front of Sharkey's Downtown. |
3 Birds Berry Farm
We partner with the farm each semester to help with housekeeping. We clear sticks and weeds to help the owners run the farm. They usually give us good treats when we are finished! |
Adopt-a-Highway
Once a semester, we clean up our adopted part of a country road to beautify the surroundings. We have found some interesting stuff like tires and licence plates. At the end of the event, we get family style lunch at the Homeplace. There they have fried chicken, biscuits and tasty vegetables. |
